The Real Estate Finance & Project Operations Manager plays a critical role in supporting property-related projects while ensuring financial accuracy, accountability, and smooth operational execution. This position sits at the intersection of project coordination, property operations, and financial management, providing exposure to real estate accounting, vendor management, rent flows, and investment-related transactions.
Working closely with operations, property management, finance, and external vendors, this role supports renovation projects, maintenance programs, acquisitions, and operational initiatives while overseeing accounts payable and receivable activities tied to each project. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to build a strong foundation in real estate finance and operations within a fast-growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate financial and operational activities for property-related projects including renovations, maintenance programs, and operational initiatives
- Manage accounts payable processes by reviewing vendor invoices, validating services rendered, and preparing payments for approval
- Track accounts receivable related to project reimbursements, owner contributions, and operational income
- Maintain project budgets, cost trackers, and cash flow schedules
- Reconcile project expenses against approved budgets and funding sources
- Work with property managers and contractors to ensure timely billing and payment resolution
- Monitor payment timelines and follow up on outstanding balances or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of all project-related financial transactions in spreadsheets and accounting systems
- Support monthly reporting on project costs, payments, and financial status
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, real estate, or a related field
- Entry-level to early-career experience in operations, finance, accounting, or project coordination
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting
- Willingness to learn real estate financial workflows and property operations
- Professional judgment, discretion, and reliability when handling financial information
